1. About these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of saratoumi.com and the courses, live classes, level test and other services we offer (the “Services”). The Services are provided by Sara Toumi TCF INC trading as “Sara Toumi TCF Canada”, 2816 Sandalwood Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1V 2T6, Canada (“we”, “us”).
By creating an account, buying a course or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to register. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.
- Accounts are personal. Do not share your login or let other people attend classes or use course materials through your account.
- Tell us straight away at support@saratoumi.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
3. Courses and live classes
- Each course page describes its level, content, format and access period. We may update course content to keep it accurate and useful, without reducing the overall value of what you bought.
- Live classes take place online (for example on Zoom) at the scheduled times. If we must reschedule or cancel a class, we will offer a replacement session, a recording where available, or a proportional refund.
- Missed classes are not refunded, but recordings or materials may be provided where available.
- We record our live classes in full. A recording may include your voice, your image if your camera is on, your name and your chat messages. Recordings are shared with the students of your group for the length of the course so that everyone can review the lesson. By joining a class you accept being recorded. If you prefer not to appear, keep your camera off.
- Do not record, photograph or share live classes or other students’ images, voices or messages without permission.
4. Prices and payments
- Prices are shown on the website in the currency indicated at checkout. Taxes are added where required.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider, using the payment methods shown at checkout. Stripe’s terms also apply to your payment. We never see or store your full card details.
- Access to a paid course is given within 2 to 3 business days after we confirm that we have received your payment.
- We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already confirmed.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or another country with a statutory right of withdrawal, you keep that right as explained in the Refund Policy.
6. No guaranteed results
We work hard to help you improve your French and prepare for the TCF Canada, but your results depend on many factors outside our control, including your starting level, study time and exam-day performance. We do not guarantee any particular score, level, NCLC/CLB result, visa, permanent residence or immigration outcome. Student results shown on the website are real examples, not a promise of the same outcome.
We are an independent training provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of France Éducation international (the organisation that runs the TCF), Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), or any government. Information about exams and immigration programmes is general and may change; always check official sources. We do not give legal or immigration advice.
7. Intellectual property
All course materials, videos, recordings, texts, exercises, mock exams, logos and website content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. When you buy a course, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the materials for your own learning during the access period. You may not copy, resell, share, publish, upload to other platforms, or use the materials to train others or build AI models.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- harass, insult or discriminate against instructors or other students, or post unlawful, hateful or explicit content;
- share your account, bypass access controls, or download content that is not offered for download;
- interfere with the website’s security or operation, scrape it, or use bots, except search engines following our rules;
- use the Services for spam, fraud or any unlawful purpose.
9. AI assistant and level test
Our website chat assistant and free level test use automated tools, including AI. Their answers and level estimates are for general guidance only, may contain mistakes and are not an official TCF result. Do not rely on them for important decisions, and do not enter sensitive personal information into them.
10. Third-party services
The Services link to or use third-party services such as Zoom, YouTube, WhatsApp, Google and payment providers. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
We provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that and any rights you have by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, and we do not promise they will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities (including immigration opportunities), or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the course concerned in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Services and ask us to delete your account at any time through our Privacy requests page. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, for example by sharing course materials or accounts. If we close your account without a good reason, we will refund the unused part of any paid course.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from mandatory protections of the laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first so we can try to solve any issue informally. EU consumers can also use their national alternative dispute resolution bodies.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services or the law. The version published on this page applies from its “Last updated” date. Changes do not apply to courses already purchased unless the change is required by law or is in your favour.
